Dubuque added a new chapter to its hockey history with the return of the Dubuque Fighting Saints to the United States Hockey League in 2010. The original Fighting Saints called Dubuque home from 1980-2001. The Fighting Saints returned to Dubuque in style at the new 3,079 seat Mystique Community Ice Center, and the club treated its fans to a Clark Cup Championship in its first season back in the USHL in 2010-11. The Fighting Saints have helped advance many players to college hockey in its first few seasons, and have produced numerous National Hockey League draft picks.  While the Fighting Saints provide world-class junior hockey, the franchise prides itself on providing a family-friendly entertainment.
