Beyond hockey, the Columbus Cottonmouths first priority has always been serving our community. When original Snakes owner Charlie Morrow brought his dream of hockey to Columbus 18 years ago, he wanted a team dedicated to not only providing exciting hockey action and family entertainment, but an organization willing to embrace this community and provide for others around us.

He wanted a team that would visit schools, host charity events and volunteer its time to others. Though Charlie lost his battle with cancer in March 1998, just weeks before the Snakes captured their first league championship, the Cottonmouths have lived out his dream and strive to enrich the lives of others, both on and off the ice.

Last season, the Snakes proudly dedicated approximately $100,000 in tickets for charity, military and schools, raised over $40,000 for charities and volunteered 300 hours of community service. To all of you we have served, and to those who have supported us throughout the last eighteen seasons, thank you for embracing us and welcoming us into your lives. We hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have. We look forward to another great year, and many more to come!
